What is Casa Nube?
Casa Nube is a 13-hectare campus located on the outskirts of Heredia, Costa Rica, conceived as a space where science, education, spirituality, and nature intertwine in perfect harmony.
Amid cloud forests, regenerating landscapes, and a strategic location near wildlife refuges and national parks, Casa Nube offers an exceptional environment for environmental research, birdwatching, immersive educational programs, and retreats or events of all kinds.
More than a place, it is a meeting point that fosters learning, cultural exchange, and a deep commitment to sustainability—inviting students, researchers, and visitors to reconnect with nature and take part in building a more conscious and balanced future.

27 acres of highland vegetation in the Central Volcanic Range.
Areas in natural succession and regeneration.
Situated strategically near the Cerro Dantas Wildlife Refuge and Braulio Carrillo National Park (official entrance via Barva Volcano, just one hour from campus).
Birdwatching
Costa Rica is globally recognized for its biodiversity, making it a key destination for birdwatchers.
At Casa Nube we promote birdwatching as an integral part of environmental education.
Birds are both a source of wonder and a catalyst for the protection and restoration of natural habitats.
